Following on from Asset Alloctaion we then need to select funds from within the asset classes that we believe will enable your portfolio to fulfil your objectives.

We use a number of independent investment research facilities to assist us choosing funds that we believe have the potential to provide above average returns for the future.

We look at the recent past performance of the fund on a year-by-year basis and if a fund can consistently achieve above average returns year on year, then its longer-term performance will be significantly above average. How a fund has performed in the past does not guarantee that it will repeat this in the future but by looking at discreet years' returns, we can get a measure of a funds' consistency.
